Does anyone actually care about the writer anymore?

Well, whether you do or you don’t I’d like to introduce myself so you can get an idea of who I am, how my blog speaks to me and where my knowledge, questions and thoughts are derived.

I am a trained Registered Nurse living in Toronto, Ontario, now known by all websites and GPS devices as #TheSix. I went to Western University, so feel free to assume I have many pretencious friends and that I will blog about how irritating they are. I went to an all girls private high school so I have a lot to say about heiarchy, influencial powers, money, bullying, and so much more.

I am Scottish and therefore fluent in Whiskey and Scotch. I have been told I am “Poetry in Motion” which was the most wonderful thing anyone has ever said to me, especially since it came from someone I did not know. I am the most optimistic yet incredibly sarcasic person you will meet. Most importantly, I have decided to do not want to be a nurse and am taking courses at the University of Toronto in Marketing, Advertising and PR. So please, your feedback is more then welcome. I have a punching bag at home for when people are rude over the internet. So give me all you got.

So what is the point of the blog? To be honest, this is my first blog, so it is hard to narrow it down. My main interests are fashion, advertising. marketing and event planning, however, I am very knowledgeable in healthcare, pharmacies, research and clinical trials. I also believe that the stories we tell and pass on to others is a way of life. I find it fascinating to learn about other people and their experiences. I will most definately take time to discuss interesting people/artciles I have found.

In summary, I’m hard to keep up with, but if you’re interested there’s a seat right next to me, so let’s enjoy the ride.

Oh I almost forgot! My grandfather, after the war, made and fixed typewriters. Now, the typewriter is essentially obsollete, however to me, they are an integral part of my childhood. I remember them littered around my grandparents basement and thinking how different it would have been back then and how badly I wanted a pink typewriter to do my homework on. Well, it may not be the same but I finally got my own pink typewriter to write my stories.
